🚨 Courier Fraud Alert – Don’t Get Caught Out! 🚨

Metropolitan Police are running Operation Call Back, a project designed to crackdown on courier fraudsters, and raise awareness in the community.

Criminals are contacting people by phone, posing as police officers, bank staff, or trusted officials to trick them into handing over cash, cards, or valuables. They may call you and claim your account is compromised or ask you to help with an “investigation.”

In Lower Morden we have seen a recent spate of fraudsters pretending to be police officers over the phone, even giving fake names and bogus work details to gain your trust. Often, they pretend they have arrested someone in possession of your driving licence or another form of identification. Their goal? To trick you into handing over money, cards, or personal information.
